John Hartson thinks the "tools" are in location to avoid betting routines becoming unhealthy dependencies.


Former Celtic and Wales striker Hartson has formerly discussed his betting dependency and is supporting a new campaign by Scottish Professional League sponsors Ladbrokes that encourages accountable wagering.


"I'm abstinent for seven years," said the 43-year-old. "I prepare to remain clear of gaming. That is my option. It's everything about a personal choice. Life is all about choices.


"There is help there. It ended up being a severe issue for me.
